One week on from Global Offshore Wind 2026, Tricore Technical Services is reflecting on a highly successful event, highlighted by an exclusive presentation delivered directly from Ørsted’s stand at the entrance of the exhibition.
Presented by our Managing Director, Paul Bass, and hosted by kind invitation of Julian Das, Head of Supply Chain UK at Ørsted, the session attracted strong attendance from stakeholders across the offshore wind supply chain, engineering community and wider renewable energy sector.
The presentation focused on Tricore’s latest digital engineering milestone: the end-to-end scanning, Digital Twinning and VR Modelling of the Hornsea 3 HVDC Converter project.
Attendees were provided with an overview of how the interactive digital environment was developed to support engineering teams with enhanced spatial awareness, visualisation and planning capabilities well in advance of physical installation activities. The project represents another example of how Tricore continues to bridge the gap between digital innovation and practical project delivery within the offshore wind sector.
Paul also highlighted Tricore’s wider collaboration with Ørsted, reflecting on previous support delivered across projects including Walney and Lincs, as well as the development of bespoke training and digital solutions ranging from davit crane training modules through to drone scanning and immersive visualisation technologies.
A key highlight of the session was the live virtual reality demonstration delivered by Digital Development Manager, Prasanna Dinesh. The demonstration allowed visitors to experience the Hornsea 3 digital environment firsthand, generating significant engagement and prompting valuable discussions around the future application of Digital Twins, immersive training and engineering visualisation technologies within major infrastructure projects.
Beyond the presentation itself, Global Offshore Wind 2026 provided an excellent platform for the Tricore team to engage with existing clients, partners and industry stakeholders while exploring new opportunities across the rapidly evolving offshore wind market.
